Jim has been providing tax and financial services to individuals and closely-held businesses for over 28 years. He began his business career with KPMG in Richmond, Virginia after obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia. Seven years in Richmond were followed by five years in the Norfolk office of KPMG where he served high net worth individuals and assisted businesses with tax planning, financing considerations and acquisitions. Jim founded The Karides Group, CPA's in Virginia Beach in 1994 and served as its President until November 2007 when the firm was combined with The Roseline Financial Group. Jim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is current treasurer and past president of Norfolk Festevents, Ltd. He is an alumnus of the Richmond Venture Capital Club and Leadership Hampton Roads. He currently serves on several charitable foundation boards and is a member of the Virginia Beach Advisory Board for Monarch Bank.
